What started out to be the solution to the problem "what will we do when we retire" became a plan to circumnavigate, then a plan to sail only to nice places and is now more like let's leave and see where we go. So come along, sail away with us!

Next stop Santa Barbara
Have had a great time in Monterey but it's now time to move on. Mel rebuilt the water pressure pump today so another job crossed off the current list. We plan to leave before 0800 hrs tomorrow morning and sail overnight hopefully getting into Santa Barbara Monday around 1800 hrs. The winds and waves all look pretty good so we hope to have an uneventful but pleasant trip. More from there!

Hello Mel and Margie. Happy that you "killed" the "Oregon Beast" are that you are now on your way to the sun. Well done ! This Iridium is a good girl ! Gilles and I are OK. Still struggling to sell the boat (not the best time apparently !). We often think about you and hope to share more foie gras and champagne one day somewhere on this planet. Enjoy every minute...
